Very nice service. Did Agent 1, ready fun - very engaging. Challenging but not impossible. The game had a good range of puzzles that made sense and weren't too bizarre. Great decor!
It was a great experience. Our guide was in character when telling us about our room, and he gave great clues along the way. It was challenging and exciting! We felt like real agents. We even got our picture sent directly to our phones afterwards and the signs for the pictures were hilarious. If you're on the fence of which Escape Room to go to, just book with this one now. It's also near restaurants so there's plenty to do to celebrate your victory... or to cheer you up after defeat lol
The room was very fun and interactive with lots of surprises abd challenges. And our host was a lot of fun too. Definitely will be back next time we are in Philly!
I've done several escape rooms before but this was by far the worst. We were a group of 5 and we did 'The Dig'. There was actually no right flow of puzzles or clues and we ended up going back and forth between the rooms. The puzzles themselves weren't designed well and the props were just terrible. The real reason for the 1 star though is our game master. She couldn't have been more disinterested. There was no enthusiasm in the introduction or the back-story. She sounded robotic..like she'd been saying the same thing over and over and if she didnt say it fast enough in the monotone, she'd forget it. She didn't ask if we had any questions. Although the game master is there to provide helpful hints here and there, she just straight up gave us the answer. It was like a real-time video game and she was giving us instructions on what to do instead of letting us try and solve it on our own. We got out with 4 minutes to spare with her pretty much going "do this. now do that. now open that and take that over there". It was so incredibly annoying, i wanted to say "Shut up". I'd rather have lost. We were pretty bummed out and irritated when we got out. This place is not worth it. It is in a dingy basement anyway. Go to the one in KOP. It'll be worth your money.
The production value is actually decent, but the puzzles are the type where you wouldn’t be able to solve them without the hints from moderators. There is no salient flow of logic to pursue, as clues don’t indicate clear directionality of which puzzles offers the next. This makes it a “guess what’s in my head” kind of puzzle, which isn’t as satisfying to solve. Honestly, though, the reason for why we give 1 star is the lack of enthusiasm and attention of the employee. The least they could have done is to be there for when we escaped and congratulate us for finishing, but when we opened the door to the last puzzle, we didn’t know whether the game was over. We returned back to the front desk to check, and the moderator asked “did you _____ in the _____ room?” We said, yes, and they said, “Well, I guess you guys are done then!” It was a blow to our enthusiasm and excitement to completing the puzzles. I had to reinvigorate everyone by high-fiving everyone, but the moderator was just so underwhelming and unenthusiastic that it ruined the experience. An engaged and exciting moderator could make up for poor puzzle designs, but we didn’t even get that. They have the best location of the escape rooms in the city, but if you have a chance, check out the others first!
