My son really enjoyed it here. They had a lot of creative pretend play, an outside area, art space, construction zone, grocery store, tractor, and more... I would recommend it but it has its cons. One being it’s quite pricey! For my husband and I and 1 child it’s $33 ($10.50 adults, $12 kids). This place isn’t for adults so your are paying $33 for your child to enjoy it. The second about 45 minutes after opening and our arrival on a Monday a bus load of about 100 kids bombarded the place. They were older and trampled my 2.5 year old. The supervision for the other children was not great. It would have been nice to know this giant camp was coming or if hands on house had dedicated hours for campers/schools/etc known to the public so as to not go then. We drove an hour to get there and this was quite frustrating. We left shortly after their arrival. Some areas were not as clean as I would expect (dusty) and construction was also going on and not blocked off to the best of their ability with small hands (open doors, small cones children can easily go around). For those reasons I rated it a 3/10.

I would give this place 5 starts if it had the exhibits shown in the pictures on google. We were really looking forward to the post office/grocery store. Nonetheless, my son had a BALL! Perfect size for smaller children . Very clean when we went-including the bathrooms. Staff was very nice ! And just when we thought the fun was over, they offer more outside! Great afternoon pass time & educational.

First be sure to schedule a time online before going. Masks are not required but staff does wear them. It is recommended for ages 2 and up but my daughter is 19months and had a blast. So much stuff for her to do. I noticed a color coded sign for different levels but as we went to different areas I didn't see a color code. There's a market where older kids can get a bag, read the card and fill bag with what the card says. Farm area has corn, tractor, hen house, barn with hay bales. There's a cow to teach about milking but it was broken. A huge construction area that all ages would enjoy. I found neat for older kids boards that explained different jobs, the tools and even salary, like carpenter, or painter. There's a nursing mothers area as well. Gift shop when you come in. They have bins to put toys that children but in their mouths. They could use a lid on them or be attached to the wall as I noticed little ones grabbing the toys out and throwing them then adults picking up and mixing with rest of toys. It was a fun time and not crowded for a rainy day. Outdoor play area was not a lot to it but had some neat things and was open area. Some areas roped off as they need repairs.

Coming into Hands-on House my daughter and I felt welcomed. We were greeted by wonderful ladies (The date is 8/13/2021) and even got half off prices because of EBT which is a lifesaver for some what needy families/single parents like myself, regardless the prices are so affordable considering this place is packed with great learning experiences. Very informative and super clean! We enjoyed our time and will be back. I will recommend this place to everyone!
