This was my first time ever going to a chiropractor, and Dr. Rhodes will be my one and only. I was referred here because of constant back pain and other body aches from work. I've been coming here weekly, for the last five months and feel a total change; physically and mentally. After my first visit, I was invested! The moment you walk in you feel at home and in a space that allows you to be at ease. Every visit I find something interesting, funny, and educational wherever I look! I can't say enough positive things about this practice. I appreciate the time Dr. Rhodes takes to explain everything, making sure I understand what we're doing and tracking our progress with each visit. Dr. Rhodes' approach to healing and overall better vitality is intuitive, effective, and therapeutic. He has a brilliant mind and just a great attitude towards life; really a joy to work with. I never thought that I would find such care, growth, and healing in a chiropractic office!
If you need a chiropractor, you can stop looking. Dr. George is the best one out there. I started my journey with Dr. George due to chronic lower back pain. I gained this pain due to my career as a professional ballet dancer. Through his help I was able to stop feeling any pain at all in my lower spine. It was truly amazing. He cares so much about all of his patients and is a very awesome person to be present with as well. He has given me so much insight on life and has helped me to move forward on my way to success. Thankyou so much for caring!
After injuring my lower back in college and completing physical therapy, I had to start seeking regular chiropractic care for maintenance due to recurring lower back pain. I've been to several chiropractors in the last 10 years and the experience has always been the same. I would show up, a chiropractor would adjust me, and then I'd go home. The pain always returned despite how healthy of a lifestyle I would try to uphold. Some offices suggested cortisol shots, some suggesting I get adjusted more often, some sent me back to physical therapy, but the back pain always returned. Having a very physically demanding job, my back pain turned into knee pain, and then hip pain. It seemed the more I worried about my body, the more it was falling apart. Then one day a colleague of mine recommended Dr. Rhodes to me after he healed the back injury that had kept her from sleeping on her back for years. It has been a lifechanging experience. Word of caution- this is not typical chiropractic care and his methods are not for everybody, so you have to go in with an open mind. Alongside what we know as regular adjustments, Dr. Rhodes operates on a holistic and spiritual approach combining western and eastern philosophies of healing. His methods take into account not just your medical history, but your trauma history, what is currently or had gone on in your life that your body has held onto and he asks it what it needs before he does anything. Every visit is different, and he will sometimes talk your ear off, but I've always left here feeling stronger in both mind and body. He and his front desk staff really do make you feel like family. Highly recommend for those seeking holistic chiropractic care in a laid back environment.
I've back problems since I was 14 years old starting with stress fractures in my lumbar spine that led to asymmetrical hips, improper training, and overall discomfort. I have tried physical therapy, muscle massage, orthopedic consultations, and even consistent yoga with no luck. In just a few months with Dr. Rhodes, I finally see and feel progress in not only my pain levels, but also my muscle activation, balance, and overall health. Visiting Dr.Rhodes is not a quick one time visit and fix, but an investment that heals long-time injuries and prevents future ones. Can't recommend enough!
Rhodes Family Chiropractic has been one of the best investments I’ve ever made into my body + health. I initially found this practice after suffering a terrible tailbone injury (snow tubing, of all places!) and was desperate for help. After going to an urgent care and getting X-rays and being told it wasn’t broken…but not being able to lay down and barely being able to walk or sit, I found Dr. Rhodes. I’ve been to chiros before—had a herniated disk at 16 and a tailbone injury at 19. I just considered myself someone with a “broken back”. At first, I was surprised at how Dr. Rhodes adjusts, and shocked at how he was able to tell me what was wrong as soon as I walked into the room! His adjustments are gentle and he truly cares so much about his patients and the world. He doesn’t just ask where you have pain and adjust based on that—he asks your body what is coming up at the moment and goes from there. Healing is not a linear path and Dr. Rhodes truly embodies this. He allows your body what it needs, when it needs it. My tailbone no longer causes me problems, and I don’t identify as “broken” anymore. I trust him fully and recommend him to everyone—even got my non-holistic boyfriend to start attending! If you are looking for a chiropractor in Philly, he’s the one.
