I went today with my kids. The under 5 area was fun for my younger kids, but too many of the downstairs exhibits looked like they worked but did not work correctly, or were just outright broken or missing too many pieces to be used for my older kids. I realize some were closed on purpose for Covid issues, but there were things open that didn’t work. I became a member to go to the Franklin institute for free from another trip, and after a trip there, I was just disappointed so many things at our ‘home’ museum were not taken care of by other guests, or are in the shape they are in. Maybe it is how it is after a full summer of camps with heavy use and they will be by fixing/opening/replacing parts but the worker I saw there didn’t have two new double A batteries to replace for the snap circuits…. I think the Whitaker center science museum needs some TLC and some good corporate donors to build it back up to what it used to be with some new exhibits and new supplies for the fun activities they already have!

Every time here is a real pleasure! Last time we have seen Almost Queen and it was phenomenal! Amazing acoustic, no bad seats, staff members were kind and friendly helping us to find our seats. Great experience! Parking is not an issue, by the way

We really wanted to like this place, but didn't. Many of the displays were old, broken, and not fully working. Additionally, there was often no explanation for how you were supposed to use them. The good news is my daughter loved one of the Osmo games and could have played on that all day.

Great space! Was here for a special event so I can't comment on the actual center. The space is very inviting and easily handled the crowd that came. Hope the Harrisburg Board Game event can stay going forward.

Nice intimate theater. No bad seats. Has a couple wrap around balconies. Great for small to medium sized productions. Parking is easy - go to the Walnut street parking garage, first few levels are reserved for the Hilton Hotel. Keep following the garage "loop" up until the cars thin out, then go one more loop to park right next to the elevators (3 of them). Don't forget to memorize the level number. Take the elevator to "Arcade" level. Straight out of elevator and up a few steps is the entrance to the Whitaker Center Complex which houses the theater at the far end, and what used to be called the IMAX at the nearer end and the Science museum in the middle.
